Terms of Service

1. Accounts

Accounts are created by logging in with Discord. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, as required by Discord. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

2. Your content

Ownership and license

You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading, you grant soundboard.gg a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, convert, display, play and distribute your content on the site, and to show your Discord username and avatar as the uploader. Uploads are public and can be downloaded by anyone.

What you may upload

Only content you own or have the right to use and distribute, including both sound files and custom icons. You confirm this every time you upload.

Prohibited content

• Copyrighted material without permission
• Explicit, adult or NSFW content
• Hate speech, harassment or discriminatory content
• Malicious files or content designed to cause harm
• Other people's personal information or private recordings
• Content that promotes illegal activity
• Spam, duplicates or deliberately misleading titles and icons

Technical limits

• Sound files up to 20 MB in MP3, WAV, OGG or M4A format.
• Every sound is trimmed to at most 5.2 seconds and converted to a small MP3 in your browser, to match Discord's soundboard limits.
• Custom icons must be images under 256 KB, limited to 5 uploads per week.
• We may add rate limits or other restrictions to keep the service fair and stable.

Quality

Sounds should be clear, accurately named and placed in a sensible category. We may remove or re-categorise content that is low quality or mislabelled.

3. Content removal and copyright

We may remove any content that violates these terms or that we consider unsuitable, without notice. We respond to copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act; see our DMCA Policy. Repeated violations will result in account termination.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Artificially inflate play or download counts, or otherwise interfere with the service
• Scrape or bulk-download the site beyond normal personal use
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use the site to distribute content you are not permitted to share

5. Analytics and advertising

The site uses analytics to understand usage and shows advertisements to cover its costs. What is collected, and the choices you have, are described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

6. Availability and changes

soundboard.gg is provided free of charge and may change, pause or stop at any time. We do our best to keep it running but make no promise of uninterrupted availability or that uploaded content will be retained indefinitely. Keep your own copies of anything important.

7. Disclaimer and liability

Content is uploaded by users, and we do not review it before it is published. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality or suitability of any content. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and to the fullest extent permitted by law soundboard.gg is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use.

8. Reporting problems

To report content that breaks these terms, email terms@soundboard.gg with a link to the sound. For copyright complaints use the DMCA process.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
