Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Sites also use similar browser storage such as local storage. This page lists what soundboard.gg uses, grouped by whether you can turn it off.
Your choice
The banner shown on your first visit asks whether you accept cookies. “Accept All” enables Google Analytics and personalised advertising. “Reject All” keeps them off. The site works fully either way. You can change your choice here at any time:
1. Always on: needed for the site to work
These do not require consent. None of them are used for tracking.
- Login session (Firebase Authentication, browser storage): keeps you logged in after you sign in with Discord. Removed when you log out.
- Cookie choice (
cookieConsent, local storage): remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies so the banner is not shown again. - Volume (
soundboard-volume, local storage): remembers your playback volume on sound pages. - Vercel Web Analytics: counts page views without cookies or browser storage. It uses a hash of request details that changes daily, so it cannot recognise you across days or across sites. See our Privacy Policy for what it records.
2. Analytics: only after “Accept All”
- Google Analytics 4 sets cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*(up to 2 years) to recognise your browser across visits and attribute page views and events (plays, downloads, logins) to a returning visitor.
3. Advertising: only after “Accept All”
Ads on soundboard.gg are served by Google AdSense and Ezoic. With consent, these providers set cookies to personalise ads and measure them, for example Google's IDE, __gads and __gpi, and Ezoic cookies prefixed ezo. Without consent they may still serve non-personalised ads, which do not rely on these cookies. Their policies: Google advertising and Ezoic.
Third parties
When you log in, Discord's own site sets cookies according to Discord's policy. Emoji and icon images are loaded from public CDNs (jsDelivr and emoji.gg), which receive a standard request for each image but set no cookies on our behalf.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Blocking the login session storage will log you out and prevent uploads.
Changes
If we add a service that sets cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top, and the banner will ask for your choice again where consent is required.
