Yes! soundboard.gg is free to use. You can browse, download, and use sounds without any cost. Some features may have usage limits for free accounts.

Using Sounds

How do I add sounds to my Discord server?

1. Find a sound you like on soundboard.gg
2. Click the download button
3. In Discord, go to Server Settings → Soundboard
4. Upload the downloaded sound file

What are the sound file requirements?

Sound files must meet these criteria:

• Maximum file size: 20 MB
• Maximum clip length: 5.2 seconds, Discord's soundboard limit. Upload a longer file and trim it in the uploader.
• Supported formats: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A. Every upload is converted to a small MP3 so it works in Discord.
• Clear audio quality without excessive noise

Uploading Content

Can I upload my own sounds?

Yes! You can upload your own sounds as long as you have the rights to use and distribute them. Free accounts can upload up to 50 sounds per day.

What about custom emojis?

Free accounts can upload up to 5 custom emojis per week to use as icons for their sounds. These emojis must follow our content guidelines.

What content is not allowed?

We prohibit:

• Copyrighted material without permission
• NSFW or explicit content
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Malicious files
• Personal information

Account Management

How do I create an account?

Simply click "Login with Discord" to authorize soundboard.gg with your Discord account. We use Discord for authentication to keep things simple and secure.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can request account deletion through your account settings. This will remove all your personal information and uploaded content from our platform.

Technical Issues

Why won't my sound upload?

Common upload issues are usually related to:

• File size exceeding 20 MB
• A selection longer than 5.2 seconds (drag the trim handles to shorten it)
• A file the browser cannot decode (try exporting it as MP3 or WAV)
• Weekly custom icon limit reached (5 per week)

How do I report a problem?

How do I report copyrighted content?

If you find content that infringes on your copyright, visit our DMCA page to submit a takedown request. We take copyright claims seriously and will respond promptly.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Email terms@soundboard.gg with a link to the sound. We review reports and remove content that breaks our Terms of Service.

Privacy & Cookies

What do you track?

Page views are always counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and cannot identify you. Google Analytics and personalised ads only run if you click “Accept All” on the cookie banner. Play and download counts are totals per sound, not records of who played what. If you log in, we store your Discord ID, username and avatar. How do I delete my account or uploads?

Delete individual sounds from “My Uploads”. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email privacy@soundboard.gg.
